ČT 1 is Czech television network owned by Česká Televize. The channel broadcasts news, entertainment, movies, series, documentaries, sports and culture programmings.
History[]
ČT 1 was launched on 1st May 1953 as Československa Televize. Launch of the broadcast for news, entertainment, sports and talk-shows.
On 30th September 1955, Československá Televize was broadcasts the first live event.
On 28th December 1956, Československá Televize was introduced with first regional television studio.
On 16th October 1963, Československá Televize was rebranded and the new logo was changed.
On 20th September 1964, Československá Televize was broadcasts the international festival Zlatá Praha.
On 19th August 1966, Československá Televize was changed the technology TRC to AMPEX.
On 17th January 1969, Československá Televize was rebranded and the new logo was changed.
On 10th May 1970, Československá Televize is renamed as ČST 1 (following ČST 2's launch).
On 9th May 1975, ČST 1 was broadcasts in full color programmings.
On 30th November 1979, ČST 1 was completed complex on Kavčí hory, including the so-called Televizní noviny.
On 2nd June 1981, ČST 1 begins to use the first cassette systems, in this 3/4" U-matic case.
On 1st April 1984, ČST 1 was purchased the 1/2" Betacam SP.
On 3rd September 1990, ČST 1 is renamed as ČTV following the dissolution of Czech and Slovak Federative Republic.
On 1st January 1993, ČTV is renamed as ČT 1 following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia.
On 4th February 1994, ČT 1 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 16th March 1997, ČT 1 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed as part of Česká Televize's rebranding effort.
On 15th May 2005, ČT 1 switched to 16:9 image format.
On 21th August 2007, ČT 1 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed along with this channels.
On 6th March 2010, ČT 1 was extended to 16:9 image format during programmings, idents, commercials and continuities.
On 1st March 2012, ČT 1 stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 30th September 2012, ČT 1 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed as part of Česká Televize's rebranding effort.
On 29th October 2016, ČT 1 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
