ČT 2 is Czech television network owned by Česká Televize. The channel broadcasts news, entertainment, movies, series, culture, sports and documentaries programmings.
History[]
ČT 2 was launched on 10th May 1970 as Druhý program ČST. Launch of the broadcast for news, entertainment and documentaries.
On 9th May 1973, Druhý program ČST was broadcasted in full color programming.
On 1st January 1977, Druhý program ČST was extended its broadcast 15 hours.
On 2nd June 1981, Druhý program ČST begins to use the first cassette systems, in this 3/4" U-matic case.
On 1st April 1984, Druhý program ČST was purchased the 1/2" Betacam SP.
On 1st May 1988, Druhý program ČST was launched its teletext service.
On 3rd September 1990, Druhý program ČST is renamed as F1.
On 1st January 1993, F1 is renamed as ČT 2.
On 4th February 1994, ČT 2 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 16th March 1997, ČT 2 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st February 1999, ČT 2 was now 24 hours for this time.
On 12th May 2000, ČT 2 was launched on digital multiplex broadcasting.
On 1st May 2003, ČT 2 was broadcasted its stereo.
On 15th May 2005, ČT 2 switched to 16:9 image format.
On 1st September 2007, ČT 2 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 31st October 2009, ČT 2 was definitely closed its analogue television.
On 1st October 2012, ČT 2 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed also launched in high-definition version.
On 1st November 2016, ČT 2 was changed its new transpoder in high-definition version on Skylink.
On 30th September 2020, ČT 2 was completely removed on first multiplex.
On 7th June 2023, ČT 2's general director Jan Souček was arrived.
