ČT :D is Czech public television network owned by Česká Televize. The channel broadcasts animated and live-action series, children's news and entertainment programmings.
History[]
The channel for young viewers was part of Petr Dvořák candidacy project as CEO of Česká Televize. In September 2012, Executive Director Petr Koliha, former artistic director of Zlín Film Festival, was appointed three months later a creative producer for children's work by Barbara Johnson. Thanks to the transfer of children's and cultural programs on ČT :D and ČT Art, ČT 2 is to focus more on educational and cognitive programs and to strengthen Czech documentaries.
