ART 3 was launched on 13th August 1988 as ATV 3. Launch of the broadcast for news, entertainment, movies, series, music videos and retransmission of foreign channels in the United Regadom, Spalaice and Faspania.
On 7th October 1989, ATV 3 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 13th September 1993, ATV 3 was changed to new broadcast format for news, entertainment, movies and culture.
On 19th March 1997, ATV 3 was renamed as Altenija 3 with the new broadcast format for news, entertainment, movies and educational.
On 1st March 2001, Altenija 3 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 30th July 2006, Altenija 3 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 15th June 2010, Altenija 3 was rebranded with the new idents were changed.
On 13th July 2013, Altenija 3 was renamed as ART 3 also switched to 16:9 image format.
On 25th November 2015, ART 3 was launched in high-definition version.
On 14th May 2019, ART 3's ultra-high definition channel ART 4K was launched.
