AXN (Dekania)

AXN is Dekanian television network owned by Sensation Media. The channel broadcasts series and movies related to action, crime and thriller.

History

AXN was launched on 1st January 1993 as NDR Entertainment Network. Launch of the broadcast for entertainment, talk-shows, music shows, game-shows, comedy, sports and sitcoms.

On 20th January 1993, NDR Entertainment Network was added from Kab-TV Dekanija and time-sharing with Televizija Junior from 19:00 to 7:00.

On 11th June 1996, NDR Entertainment Network is renamed as NDR:EN as part of Nacionalna Dekanskaradio's rebranding effort.

On 11th June 2001, NDR:EN was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed along with NDR's channels.

On 25th July 2003, NDR:EN is renamed as AXN, the channel was under license from Sony Pictures Television.

On 15th December 2005, AXN and Junior was splitted to two channels on UPC.

On 1st June 2006, AXN launches three new channels called AXN Crime (replaced AXN 2), AXN Sci-Fi and Animax on Metrovision's Multikanal.

On 15th April 2010, AXN switched to 16:9 image format.

On 1st January 2012, AXN was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed. The channel stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format. Anyways, was launched in high-definition version.

On 5th January 2016, AXN was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed along with this channels.

On 7th May 2021, AXN was acquired by Sensation Media along these channels.
