Al Jazeera English is Qatari television network owned by Al Jazeera Media Network. The channel broadcasts nationwide and worldwide news, sports news, weather, business, lifestyle, science and documentaries programmings.
History
Al Jazeera English was launched on 15th November 2006. Launch of the broadcast for news.
On 3rd October 2011, Al Jazeera English switched to 16:9 image format.
On 26th November 2013, Al Jazeera English stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 12th April 2016, Al Jazeera America was closed and replaced by the main channel.
