Altıkanal is Korfish television network owned by Fözrat Group. The channel broadcasts news, entertainment, movies, series and children's programmings.
History[]
Altıkanal was launched on 5th October 1986 as Kanal 6. Launch of the broadcast for news, entertainment, series, sports and current-affairs.
On 1st June 1990, Kanal 6 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 12th August 1993, Kanal 6 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 16th October 1996, Kanal 6's satellite channel Kanal 6 Avfuriya was launched.
On 1st December 1999, Kanal 6 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 20th April 2003, Kanal 6's news channel 6Haber was launched.
On 1st March 2005, Kanal 6 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 28th February 2009, Kanal 6's series channel TV Renk was launched.
On 22nd May 2011, Kanal 6 was renamed as Altıkanal also switched to 16:9 image format.
On 19th August 2013, Altıkanal was launched in high-definition version.
On 1st September 2016, Altıkanal was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 10th May 2020, Altıkanal was closed in standard definition version but still airing in high-definition version.
