Animal Planet is Dekanian television network owned by Warner Bros. Discovery International Dekania. The channel broadcasts documentaries and reality-shows related to nature and wildlife.
History
Animal Planet was launched on 1st June 1998 as part of Metrovision's Multikanal channels. Launch of the broadcast for documentaries.
On 27th May 2000, Animal Planet was rebranded with the new logo into gradient.
On 17th October 2006, Animal Planet was rebranded with the logo and idents were created by Troika Design Group.
On 1st January 2010, Animal Planet was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed as part of Discovery Networks Dekania's rebranding effort and was launched in high-definition simulcast.
On 30th May 2013, Animal Planet stopped the 4:3 image format for the first time and then became a full 16:9 image format.
On 17th February 2015, Animal Planet was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 25th January 2019, Animal Planet was rebranded with the new idents created by Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv.
On 9th April 2022, Animal Planet was acquired by Warner Bros. Discovery International Dekania.
