Animal Planet is Elend television network owned by Warner Bros. Discovery International Elendia. The channel broadcasts documentaries and reality-shows programmings related to nature and wildlife.
History[]
Animal Planet was launched on 1st September 1997. Launch of the broadcast for documentaries.
On 1st August 2000. Animal Planet was added on Canal Satellite.
On 13th October 2003, Animal Planet was rebranded with the new idents were changed.
On 17th October 2006, Animal Planet was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st October 2008, Animal Planet was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st March 2009, Animal Planet was rebranded with the new logo was changed.
On 26th January 2010, Animal Planet was launched in high-definition version in English language.
On 1st October 2012, Animal Planet was switched to 16:9 image format.
On 17th February 2015, Animal Planet was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st July 2015, Animal Planet was relaunched in high-definition version in Greek audio.
On 1st February 2019, Animal Planet was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 9th April 2022, Animal Planet was acquired by Warner Bros. Discovery International Hungary.
