Animaux is French documentary television network owned by Mediawan Thematics. The channel broadcasts documentaries and television series related to wildlife and nature.
History
Created on April 2, 1996, AB Animaux is a thematic channel dedicated to wildlife documentaries.
In 1999, it is renamed Animaux and changes rebranding.
After rumors of the sale of the channel by AB Groupe in early 2006, it finally remained in the fold of the group.
Exclusively dedicated to the wild and domestic animal world, Animaux fights for the protection of nature and endangered species. In September 2011, Animaux changed dressing after keeping the old one for almost 7 years.
On May 13, 2014, the channel goes in high definition on Canalsat bouquet. The channel is now broadcast, especially in High Definition on the main Channels, from this date on Astra 19.2° E
Programmings
A channel specializing in the environment, its programming mainly includes wildlife programs and documentaries. She regularly introduces reports on the protection of fauna and flora. Allain Bougrain-Dubourg joined the channel as a host in 2005.
