Animax is defunct Romanian entertainment television network owned by Sony Pictures Television Eastern Europe. This channel broadcasts anime, game shows, series and movies for 9 to 18 years.
History
Animax was launched on December 4, 2004, under the name A+ Anime. Launch of the broadcast for anime and series for 9 to 18 years.
On July 2, 2007, IKO Entertainment SA acquired Sony Pictures Television Eastern Europe, because A+ Anime was renamed as Animax, specialized in anime and anime movies for 9 to 18 years.
On July 4, 2009, Animax starting the game shows, series and movies for 9 to 18 years, first at all was The Amazing Race.
On April 1, 2014, Animax was closed at 00:00 EET and replaced by C8.
On January 31, 2020, Animax was relaunched.
