Automoto la Chaîne is French television network owned by Mediawan Thematics and Groupe TF1. The channel broadcasts sports events related to motorsports.
History
Automoto la Chaîne was launched on 26th March 1996 as Automobile. Launch of the broadcast for motorsports. Originally broadcasting from 6:00 to 22:00 time-sharing with XXL.
On 29th March 1999, Automobile is renamed as AB Moteurs.
On 20th November 2006, AB Moteurs was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 2008, AB Moteurs was now 24 hours for the first time.
On 1st March 2011, AB Moteurs switched to 16:9 image format.
On 18th December 2012, AB Moteurs was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 17th April 2016, AB Moteurs stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 5th November 2018, AB Moteurs is renamed as Automoto la Chaîne and the new broadcast format for motorsports programme "Automoto" and joint-venture with Groupe TF1
