CBS Europa is Polish television network owned by AMC Networks International Poland. The channel broadcasts European and foreign movies and series.
History[]
CBS Europa was launched on 15th March 1999 as Wizja Le Cinéma. Originially owned by Wizja TV. Launch of the broadcast for movies.
On 1st March 2002, Wizja Le Cinéma was acquired by Zone Vision and renamed as Le Cinéma.
On 19th April 2003, Le Cinéma is renamed as Europa Europa.
On 26th June 2006, Europa Europa is renamed as Zone Europa as part of Zone Media Poland's rebranding effort.
On 3rd December 2012, Zone Europa is renamed as CBS Europa.
On 1st May 2014, CBS Europa switched to 16:9 image format.
On 1st October 2015, CBS Europa stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 1st July 2017, CBS Europa was re-added from UPC Polska along these channels.
On 15th February 2021, CBS Europa was rebranded and the new idents were changed.
