CNN International is American television network owned by Warner Media. The channel broadcasts news (nationwide and worldwide), weather, business, documentaries and lifestyle programmings.
History[]
CNN International was launched on 1st September 1985. Launch of the broadcast for news.
On 30th September 1992, CNN International was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st February 1995, CNN International was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed created by Velvet Design.
On 29th July 1997, CNN International was rebranded and the new idents were changed.
On 19th November 2000, CNN International was rebranded and the new idents were changed.
On 7th June 2004, CNN International was rebranded and the new idents were changed.
On 1st January 2006, CNN International was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 21st September 2009, CNN International was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st September 2012, CNN International switched to 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 3rd June 2013, CNN International stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format.
On 11th August 2014, CNN International was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed along with CNN.
On 29th May 2019, CNN International announced it was reducing its programming and staff based in London to reduce costs, with CNN International losing $10 million per year.
