Canal+

Canal+ is French television network owned by Groupe Canal+. The channel broadcasts news, entertainment, movies, series, sports, lifestyle and culture programmings.

History[]

Canal+ was launched on 4th November 1984. Launch of the broadcast for news, movies and series.

On 1st January 1987, Canal+ was having the movie production called "Canal+ Productions".

On 8th June 1990, Canal+ was launched in Spain under the same name.

On 28th August 1995, Canal+ was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.

On 1st September 1998, Canal+ switched to 16:9 image format.

On 1st November 2003, Canal+ was rebranded and the new idents were changed.

On 20th September 2007, Canal+ was enlarged to 16:9 image format during idents.

On 30th March 2008, Canal+ stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.

On 31st August 2009, Canal+ was rebranded and the new idents were changed.

On 10th June 2010, Canal+ was launched in 3D format.

On 24th January 2012, Canal+ was closed in 3D format.

On 1st November 2014, Canal+ was celebrated thirty anniversary.

On 6th November 2020, Canal+ was rebranded and the new idents were changed.
