Ciné+ Classic is French television network owned by MultiThématiques. The channel broadcasts movies from 1920's to 2010's.

History[]

Ciné+ Classic was launched on 7th January 1991 as Ciné Cinéfil. Launch of the broadcast for classic movies.

On 1st September 1998, Ciné Cinéfil is renamed as Ciné Classics along with CinéCinémas' channels.

On 15th September 2002, Ciné Classics is renamed as CinéCinéma Classic and switched to 16:9 image format.

On 21st March 2007, CinéCinéma Classic was merged with TPS Cinétoile following Canalsat/TPS channels.

On 1st October 2008, CinéCinéma Classic was rebranded and the new logo was changed along with CinéCinéma's channels.

On 17th May 2011, CinéCinéma Classic is renamed as Ciné+ Classic as part of MultiThématiques' rebranding effort.

On 2012, Ciné+ Classic stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
