Ciné+ Frisson is French television network owned by MultiThématiques. The channel broadcasts movies related to action, thriller, science-fiction, horror and suspence.
History[]
Ciné+ Frisson was launched on 27th April 1996 as CinéCinémas Seconde. Launch of the broadcast for movies.
On 1st October 1998, CinéCinémas Seconde is renamed as CinéCinémas 3 along with CinéCinémas 1 and CinéCinémas 2.
On 15th September 2002, CinéCinémas 2 is renamed as CinéCinéma Frisson and switched to 16:9 image format.
On 21st March 2007, CinéCinéma Frisson was merged with TPS Cinextrême following Canalsat/TPS merger.
On 1st October 2008, CinéCinéma Frisson was rebranded and the new logo was changed along with CinéCinéma's channels.
On 17th May 2011, CinéCinéma Frisson is renamed as Ciné+ Frisson as part of MultiThématiques' rebranding effort.
On 2012, Ciné+ Frisson stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
