Comedy Central (Dekania)

Comedy Central is Dekanian television network owned by Paramount International Networks Dekania. The channel broadcasts comedy series, movies and stand-up comedies programmings.

History[]

Comedy Central was launched on 1st June 2002 as Viva originally owned by Viva Media. Launch of the broadcast for interactive music videos.

On 24th June 2004, Viva was acquired by MTV Networks International Dekania.

On 1st June 2006, Viva introduces a new block for comedy programming called Comedy Central on every hours.

On 13th October 2006, Viva is renamed as Comedy Central was extended in 24 hours and the new broadcast format for comedy programming (series and stand-up comedies).

On 17th September 2011, Comedy Central was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed also switched to 16:9 image format.

On 15th December 2013, Comedy Central stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.

On 17th June 2019, Comedy Central was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
