Digi Sport 1 is Romanian television network owned by RCS & RDS. The channel broadcasts sports events related to football, basketball, motorsports, tennis, handball and rugby.
History[]
Digi Sport 1 was launched on 23rd July 2009 as Digi Sport. Launch of the broadcast for sports events.
On 1st June 2010, Digi Sport was launched in high-definition version.
On 11th June 2011, Digi Sport was renamed as Digi Sport 1.
On 11th August 2012, Digi Sport 1 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st October 2015, Digi Sport 1's sister channel Digi Sport 4 was launched.
On 1st October 2018, Digi Sport 1 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 5th August 2022, Digi Sport 1 was closed in Hungary replaced by Match 4.
