Discovery is Romanian television network owned by Warner Bros. Discovery International Romania. The channel broadcasts documentaries and reality-shows programmings.
History[]
Discovery was launched on 7th June 1997 as Discovery Channel. Launch of the broadcast for documentaries.
On 22nd December 2000, Discovery Channel was rebranded with the new logo was changed.
On mid-2002, Discovery Channel's thematic channels were launched.
On 24th July 2006, Discovery Channel was fully launched its Romanian feed.
On 1st July 2009, Discovery Channel was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 29th November 2012, Discovery Channel was removed on Digi.
On 1st June 2014, Discovery Channel was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 30th December 2016, Discovery Channel was re-added on Digi after four years of absence.
On 12th January 2018, Discovery Channel was removed its Romanian language.
On 1st November 2018, Discovery Channel was launched in high-definition version.
On 16th September 2019, Discovery Channel was renamed as Discovery.
On 9th April 2022, Discovery was acquired by Warner Bros. Discovery International Romania.
On 18th June 2024, Discovery was relaunched its Romanian feed.
