ESPN America is European television network owned by Disney Channels Worldwide United Kingdom. The channel broadcasts American sports related to American football, basketball, baseball and racing.
History[]
ESPN America was launched on 5th December 2002 as NASN (North American Sports Network). originally owned by Benchmark Limited Europe and Setanta Sport. Launch of the broadcast for American sports.
On 2006, NASN was rebranded and the new logo was changed.
On March 2007, NASN waas acquired by Disney Channels Worldwide United Kingdom.
On 1st February 2009, NASN is renamed as ESPN America.
On 28th October 2009, ESPN America switched to 16:9 image format.
On 1st March 2010, ESPN America stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version on Canal Digital from Norway.
On 1st August 2013, ESPN America was closed along with ESPN Classic.
