Extreme Sports Channel is Dutch television network owned by AMC Networks International Netherlands. The channel broadcasts sports events related to extreme sport and adventure sports.
History[]
Extreme Sports Channel was launched on 1st May 1999. Launch of the broadcast for extreme sports.
On 1st August 1999, Extreme Sports Channel was launched in Dekania.
On 12th January 2001, Extreme Sports Channel was launched in Poland.
On 20th November 2002, Extreme Sports Channel was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st January 2006, Extreme Sports Channel was launched in France.
On 30th August 2006, Extreme Sports Channel was launched in the United Kingdom.
On 12th March 2010, Extreme Sports Channel was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 28th September 2011, Extreme Sports Channel switched to 16:9 image format.
On 1st February 2012, Extreme Sports Channel stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 31st December 2015, Extreme Sports Channel was removed from Sky.
