France 2 is French television network owned by France TV. The channel broadcasts news, entertainment, movies, series, documentaries, lifestyle, sports and game-shows programmings.
History[]
France 2 was launched on 21st December 1963 as RTF Télévision 2. Launch of the broadcast for news, entertainment, sports and series.
On 25th July 1964, RTF Télévision 2 is renamed as Deuxième chaîne de l'ORTF.
On 1st October 1967, Deuxième chaîne de l'ORTF was rebranded and the new logo was changed, broadcasts in full color programmings.
On 1st January 1973, Deuxième chaîne de l'ORTF was rebranded and the new logo was changed.
On 6th January 1975, Deuxième chaîne de l'ORTF is renamed as Antenne 2 as part of French public mass-media's changing effort.
On 12th September 1983, Antenne 2 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 7th April 1986, Antenne 2 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 7th September 1987, Antenne 2 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 4th January 1988, Antenne 2 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 5th November 1990, Antenne 2 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 7th September 1992, Antenne 2 is renamed as France 2 as part of France Télévision's launch.
On 1st September 1997, France 2 was rebranded and the new idents were changed created by View.
On 7th January 2002, France 2 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed as part of France Télévisions' rebranding effort.
On 18th July 2006, France 2 was rebranded and the new idents were changed.
On 7th April 2008, France 2 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed, switched to 16:9 image format.
On 27th June 2008, France 2 stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 27th October 2012, France 2 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 29th January 2018, France 2 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed as part of France TV's rebranding effort.
