Golf+ is French sports television network owned by MultiThématiques. The channel broadcasts on coverage of the sport of golf, including live coverage of tournaments, as well as factual and instructional programming.
History[]
On June 6, 2012, the Groupe Canal+ announces that the channel will be available à la carte, as will its two sisters, Foot+ and Rugby+. The Groupe Canal+ has officially announced its arrival exclusively on Canalsat as of July 4, 2012.
The channel begins broadcasting programs on June 26, 2012 on Canalsat. Its competitor is the channel Golf Channel owned by AB Groupe. The latter does not hold any rights on the retransmission of the European and American tournaments.
Programmings[]
Golf+ broadcasts the main golf tournaments live or offline and in exclusivity. Canal+ is the holder of the vast majority of broadcasting rights for the biggest golf competitions such as the European Tour, the American Tour, the 4 Grand Slam tournaments or the Open de France, Golf+ offers a rich content to all its subscribers.
During the 2016 Summer Olympics, Golf+ broadcasts golf events. The channel is then accessible to all subscribers to Canal+.
