Infosport+ is French sports television network owned by MultiThématiques. The channel broadcasts sports news.
History[]
Infosport was founded in 1998 by TPS Sport on the TPS satellite network to compete with the TV team which has just been launched on the competing satellite channel Canal Satellite.
During the merger of the TPS and Canal Satellite broadcasters in 2007 to form Canalsat, Infosport is taken over by MultiThématiques, a subsidiary of the Groupe Canal+.
On May 17, 2011, the channel became Infosport+ following Groupe Canal+'s desire to add a link between the "mother" channel Canal+ and that of MultiThématiques.
Since June 9, 2016, Infosport+ is available in HD and abbreviated in IS+.
Since 1 July 2016, the channel is no longer broadcast on Numéricable to be only on Canal offers.

Infosport+ broadcasts a sports newspaper updated every quarter hour, presenting a panorama of sports news, as well as several magazines with varied themes.
