Investigation Discovery is Ludussian television network owned by Discovery Networks Anierica. The channels broadcasts documentaries programmings related to true crime and investigation.
History[]
Investigation Discovery was launched on October 7, 1996 as Discovery Civilisation. Launch of the broadcast for documentaries related to history and civilisations.
On April 1, 2003, Discovery Civilisation was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed along with Discovery Science and Discovery Wings.
On April 14, 2008, Discovery Civilisation is renamed as Discovery World.
On April 13, 2009, Discovery World was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed as part of Discovery Networks Anierica's rebranding effort.
On July 9, 2012, Discovery World is renamed as Investigation Discovery and the new broadcast format for documentaries related to true crime and investigation, switched to a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
