Lumi Cinema is Dontiot television network owned by Lumi. The channel broadcasts new and recent movies related to comedy, drama, action, science-fiction, animation and fantasy.
History[]
Lumi Cinema was launched on 11th September 1995 as Lumiere Cinema. Launch of the broadcast for movies.
On 16th June 1999, Lumiere Cinema's sister channels Lumiere Cinema 2 and Lumiere Cinema 3 were launched.
On 30th November 2002, Lumiere Cinema was renamed as Lumisat Cinema 1.
On 3rd October 2005, Lumisat Cinema 1 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 9th November 2008, Lumisat Cinema 1's high-definition channel Lumisat HD was launched.
On 31st July 2010, Lumisat Cinema 1 was renamed as Lumisat Cinema Premiere.
On 1st October 2012, Lumisat Cinema Premiere was launched in high-definition version replaced Lumisat HD.
On 20th September 2014, Lumisat Cinema Premiere was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st September 2019, Lumisat Cinema Premiere was renamed as Lumi Cinema.
On 24th October 2020, Lumi Cinema was launched in ultra high-definition version.
