M6 is French television network owned by Groupe M6. The channel broadcasts news, magazines, entertainment, lifestyle, game-shows, children's, movies, music, series and sports programmings.
History[]
M6 was launched on 1st March 1986 as TV6 was the first music channel in France.
On 1st March 1987, TV6 was renamed as M6 was the second commercial television network behind TF1 and Canal+.
On 1st September 1987, M6 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed and designed by Étienne Robial.
On 1st September 1999, M6 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 26th March 2001, M6 broadcasts the reality-show called "Loft Story".
On 14th February 2003, M6 was rebranded and the new idents was introduced.
On 6th March 2007, M6 was rebranded and the new idents was introduced and the logo becomes to 3D.
On 30th October 2008, M6 stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 30th November 2009, M6 was rebranded and the new logo was changed and designed by View.
On 16th November 2015, M6 was rebranded and the new idents was added.
On 1st September 2020, M6 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 11th June 2021, M6 was launched in ultra high-definition version during UEFA Euro 2020.
