MTV 80s is British television network owned by Paramount International Networks United Kingdom. The channel broadcasts music videos from 1980's.
History[]
MTV 80s was launched on 1st July 1999 as VH1 Classic. Launch of the broadcast for music videos from 70's to 90's.
On 30th November 2004, VH1 Classic was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st March 2010, VH1 Classic was replaced by MTV Classic in the United Kingdom.
On 19th August 2015, VH1 Classic was switched to 16:9 image format first time.
On 5th October 2020, VH1 Classic is renamed as MTV 80s along with MTV 90s.
On 31st March 2022, MTV 80s will launch in the United Kingdom replacing MTV Classic.
