MTV Hits is British television network owned by ViacomCBS Networks International United Kingdom. The channel broadcasts music videos related to pop and rock.
History[]
MTV Hits was launched on 1st July 1999 as MTV Extra. Launch of the broadcast for music videos.
On 1st May 2001, MTV Extra is renamed as MTV Hits.
On 1st July 2004, MTV Hits was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 28th June 2006, MTV Hits was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 22nd July 2007, MTV Hits was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed along with MTV channels.
On 1st March 2010, MTV Hits was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st July 2011, MTV Hits was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 28th March 2012, MTV Hits switched to full 16:9 image format.
On 1st October 2013, MTV Hits was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 5th April 2017, MTV Hits was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 14th September 2021, MTV Hits was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
