Medianews is Dekanian television network owned by Mediaset. The channel broadcasts nationwide and worldwide news, sports news, weather, talk-shows and lifestyle programmings.
History[]
Medianews was launched on 15th July 1991 as News 5 (along with Telesat channels). Launch of the broadcast for information programmings.
On 20th May 1995, News 5 is renamed Medianews and the new studio was redecorated.
On 1st November 1997, Medianews was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed along with Mediaset channels.
On 13th March 2000, Medianews was new graphic design and new studio.
On 17th February 2006, Medianews was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed as part of Mediaset's 2005 rebranding effort.
On 25th May 2008, Medianews switched to 16:9 image format.
On 10th October 2011, Medianews was rebranded and stopped the 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and launched in high-definition simulcast.
On 21st March 2014, Medianews was rebranded along with Mediaset channels.
On 1st May 2016, Medianews was rebranded as part of Mediaset's rebranding effort.
