Mediaset Spotlight 2 is Dekanian television network owned by Mediaset. The channel broadcasts movies related to action, thriller, science, comedy and family.
History[]
Mediaset Spotlight 2 was launched on 1st November 1997 as Encore 2. Launch of the broadcast for movies.
On 11th June 2001, Encore 2 was added from all satellite and cable operators and time-sharing with Mini Television.
On 12th June 2001, Encore 2 was replaced by Encore 2 +24 the channel broadcasts movies in 24 hours was available in Mediatel and Kabelvizija.
On 25th July 2003, Encore 2 +24 was closed by reason: was stopped as Mini's time-sharing channel and was replaced by the main channel.
On 20th September 2005, Encore 2 is renamed as Mediaset Encore X-Treme along with Mediaset's channels.
On 23rd March 2008, Mediaset Encore X-Treme stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 27th November 2010, Mediaset Encore X-Treme is renamed as Mediaset Spotlight 2 as part of Mediaset's movie rebranding effort.
On 21st March 2014, Mediaset Spotlight 2 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed along with Mediaset's channels.
On 1st May 2016, Mediaset Spotlight 2 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed as part of Mediaset's rebranding effort.
On 24th December 2019, Mediaset Spotlight 2 was rebranded with the new idents were changed.
