Mediaset World is Dekanian television network owned by Mediaset. The channel broadcasts documentaries related to nature, history and explorer programmings.
History[]
Mediaset World was launched on 15th July 1991 as Docuvision. Launch of the broadcast for documentaries, Originally broadcasting from 8:00 to 1:00.
On 28th April 1992, Docuvision officially extended its broadcast day to be from 19:00 to 1:00 and Junior has been added to morning/afternoon/evening programmings on Jukosatel (now ETV+) and other cable operators.
On 1st November 1997, Docuvision was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed along with Mediaset channels, switched to 16:9 image format.
On 15th July 2001, Docuvision officially extended its broadcast day to be from 24 hours.
On 1st September 2001, Docuvision was replaced by Encore 1 at 20:00 on Metrovision (for analogue) and Metrovision Digital (for digital).
On 20th September 2005, Docuvision is renamed Mediaset Docuvision along with Mediaset channels.
On 15th July 2008, Mediaset Docuvision is renamed Mediaset World and stopped the 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and launched in high-definition version.
On 21st March 2014, Mediaset World was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed along with Mediaset channels.
On 1st May 2016, Mediaset World was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed as part of Mediaset's rebranding effort.
