NTV (Russian: HTB) is Russian television network owned by Gazprom Media. The channel broadcasts news, entertainment, series and movies programmings.
History[]
NTV was launched on 4th November 1967 as Chetvyortaya programma TsT. Launch of the broadcast for entertainment and documentaries.
On 1980, Chetvyortaya programma TsT was rebranded and the new logo was changed featuring five circles and red star.
On 27th December 1991, Chetvyortaya programma TsT is renamed as Chetvyortyi kanal Ostankino following Soviet Union's dissolution.
On 8th June 1992, Rossiyskie Universitety was added during morning and afternoon.
On 17th January 1994, Chetvortyi kanal Ostankino is renamed as NTV as part of NTV Peterburg's Moscow version.
On 10th November 1996, Rossiyskie Universitety was removed by reason: NTV is now 24 hours.
On 11th August 1997, NTV was full rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 10th September 2001, NTV was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 4th June 2007, NTV was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 17th April 2013, NTV switched to 16:9 image format.
On 9th February 2015, NTV stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 1st January 2018, NTV's movie channel NTV Hit was launched.
On 15th May 2023, NTV's documentaries channel Neizvestnaya Rossiya was launched.
