National Geographic is Polish knowledge television network owned by Disney Media Networks Poland. The channel broadcasts documentaries related to wildlife, history, science, technology, people and culture, and travel and adventure.
History[]
National Geographic was launched on 1st January 2001 as National Geographic Channel. Launch of the broadcast for documentaries related to wildlife, history, people and travel.
On 1st October 2007, National Geographic Channel was launched in high-definition simulcast.
On 1st March 2010, National Geographic Channel stopped the 4:3 image format and then became a full 16:9 image format.
On 25th October 2016, National Geographic Channel is renamed National Geographic was rebranded at the same time as other National Geographic channels around the world, as part of a global rebranding.
