National Geographic is Scretonian television network owned by Disney Media Networks Scretonia. The channel broadcasts documentaries related to history, nature, science, technology and travel.
History[]
National Geographic was launched on 23rd October 2000 as National Geographic Channel. Launch of the broadcast for documentaries.
On 13th January 2002, National Geographic Channel was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 7th April 2005, National Geographic Channel was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 24th June 2009, National Geographic Channel's sister channel Nat Geo Wild was launched.
On 15th July 2012, National Geographic Channel was switched to 16:9 image format.
On 1st December 2012, National Geographic Channel was launched in high-definition version.
On 14th November 2016, National Geographic Channel was renamed as National Geographic.
On 19th March 2019, National Geographic was acquired by Disney Media Networks Scretonia.
