National Geographic Wild is Dekanian television network owned by Disney Media Networks Dekania. The channel broadcasts documentaries related to wildlife and natural history programmings.
History[]
National Geographic Wild was launched on 1st June 2008 as Nat Geo Wild. Launch of the broadcast for documentaries.
On 1st June 2010, Nat Geo Wild was switched a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 14th November 2016, Nat Geo Wild was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed along with National Geographic.
On 1st February 2019, Nat Geo Wild is renamed as National Geographic Wild.
Programmings[]
National Geographic Wild programming is sourced from various agencies, including UK and European distributors, terrestrial joint productions and National Geographic Studios (formerly known as National Geographic Television) productions. All programs are based on natural wildlife and wildlife history, with a heavy focus on nature's fiercest predators. Both the UK and Asian versions of the channel include programming focusing on wildlife in their local areas.
