Nea Kanali (Greek: Nέα Kανάλι) is Dontiot television network owned by Prometeus Media. The channel broadcasts documentaries, educational and classic movies programmings related to science, history, civilisation and architecture.
History[]
Nea Kanali was launched on 7th October 2008. Launch of the broadcast for documentaries. Originally owned by the television channel Penta.
On 2nd July 2010, Nea Kanali was acquired by RTL Group.
On 7th October 2013, Nea Kanali was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed also switched to 16:9 image format.
On 28th November 2014, Nea Kanali was launched in high-definition version.
On 6th March 2017, Nea Kanali was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 24th May 2019, Nea Kanali's streaming service Pulso Now was renamed as Pulso Up.
On 3rd October 2022, Nea Kanali was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
