Nova is Czech television network owned by Central European Media Enterprises. The channel broadcasts entertainment. news, series, reality shows, movies, reality-shows and children's programmings.
History[]
Nova was launched on 14th April 1990 as OK3. Launch of the broadcast for programmes from famous satellite channels of that time, most often from TV5 Europe, MCM, La Sept, CNN, Screensport, Raiuno and RTLplus.
On 1st January 1993, OK3 is renamed ČT 3 following the Czechoslovakian dissolution.
On 4th February 1994, ČT 3 was privatized, is renamed Nova is owned by Central European Media Enterprises and the new broadcast format for entertainment, news, series, movies, cartoons and sports.
On 22nd September 1996, Nova was rebranded with the new logo presents three red circles replaced by the red spiral and the new font.
On 1st June 2000, Nova was rebranded with the new idents were changed.
On 7th February 2004, Nova was rebranded with the new logo presents the new font and the spiral was redesigned.
On 6th October 2008, Nova was launched in high-definition simulcast.
On 20th September 2010, Nova stopped the 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format, the new idents was redesigned.
On 17th September 2012, Nova was rebranded with the new idents were changed.
On 23rd May 2015, Nova was rebranded with the new idents were changed.
On 4th February 2017, Nova was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed along with Nova's channels.
