Paramount International Networks Hungary is Hungarian television company owned by Paramount. The company have sixteen television channels and streaming service.
History[]
Paramount International Networks Hungary was founded on 6th October 1999 as MTV Networks International Hungary. Found of the company for television channels (MTV Europe, MTV 2, MTV Base, VH-1, VH1 Classic and Nickelodeon).
On 1st May 2001, MTV Networks International Hungary's music channel MTV Hits was launched in Hungary.
On 24th June 2004, MTV Networks International Hungary acquires the music channel Viva.
On 1st January 2006, MTV Networks International Hungary was rebranded with the new logo was changed.
On 1st October 2007, MTV Networks International Hungary's music channel MTV was launched.
On 7th March 2008, MTV Networks International Hungary's music channel MTV Base is replaced by MTV Dance.
On 15th September 2008, MTV Networks International Hungary's channel MTVN HD was launched.
On 1st May 2009, MTV Networks International Hungary's entertainment channel Comedy Central was launched.
On 1st October 2011, MTV Networks International Hungary is renamed as Viacom International Media Networks Hungary.
On 1st October 2013, Viacom International Media Networks Hungary's children's channel Nick Jr. was launched.
On 1st December 2013, Viacom International Media Networks Hungary's music channel MTV was closed then replaced by MTV Europe.
On 14th February 2014, Viacom International Media Networks Hungary's movie channel Paramount Channel was launched.
On 1st December 2016, Viacom International Media Networks Hungary's entertainment channel RTL Spike was launched joint-venture with RTL Magyarország.
On 3rd October 2017, Viacom International Media Networks Hungary's channel Viva was splited two channels MTV replaced by MTV Europe and Comedy Central Family.
On 1st April 2019, Viacom International Media Networks Hungary's children's channel Nicktoons was launched.
On 4th December 2019, Viacom International Media Networks Hungary is renamed as ViacomCBS Networks International Hungary.
On 1st June 2020, ViacomCBS Networks International Hungary's channel MTV Dance is replaced by Club MTV.
On 5th October 2020, ViacomCBS Networks International Hungary's channels MTV Rocks and VH1 Classic were renamed as MTV 80s and MTV 90s.
On 17th December 2020, ViacomCBS Networks International Hungary's movie channel Paramount Channel is renamed as Paramount Network.
On 12th January 2021, ViacomCBS Networks International Hungary's entertainment channel RTL Spike was fully owned the company and renamed as TeenNick.
On 1st June 2021, ViacomCBS Networks International Hungary's music channel MTV Music 24 is replaced by NickMusic.
On 2nd August 2021, ViacomCBS Networks International Hungary's music channel VH1 Europe is renamed as MTV 00s.
On 15th February 2022, ViacomCBS International Media Networks Hungary is renamed as Paramount International Networks Hungary.
On 6th July 2024, Paramount International Networks Hungary's series channel Comedy Central Family was closed.
On 27th November 2024, Paramount International Networks Hungary's movie channels Sky Showtime 1 and Sky Showtime 2 were launched join-venture with NBCUniversal.
