Penta is Dontiot television network owned by Prometeus Media. The channel broadcasts news, entertainment, movies, series and sports programmings.
History[]
Penta was launched on 14th November 1995 as Kanali 5. Launch of the broadcast for news, entertainment, series, movies, music videos and cartoons. Originally owned by the television production Crisovicom.
On 8th November 2000, Kanali 5 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 25th October 2003, Kanali 5 was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 19th September 2006, Kanali 5 was renamed as Penta.
On 21st July 2010, Penta was acquired by RTL Group.
On 1st March 2011, Penta was rebranded with the new idents was changed also switched to 16:9 image format.
On 28th November 2014, Penta was launched in high-definition version.
On 1st December 2016, Penta was acquired by the new company Prometeus Media.
On 6th March 2017, Penta was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 24th May 2019, Penta's streaming service Pulso Now was renamed as Pulso Up.
On 1st September 2023, Penta's news programming Penta Eidiseis were renamed as Newsbreak.
