Pershyi is Ukrainian television network owned by Suspilne. The channel broadcasts news, entertainment, series, movies, sports, culture, documentaries and talk-shows programmings.

History[]

Pershyi was launched on 1st Febuary 1939 as Ukrainske Telebachennia. Launch of the broadcast for news and entertainment.

On 1976, Ukrainske Telebachennia was broadcasted in color programmings.

On 25th December 1991, Ukrainske Telebachennia was renamed as UT-1.

On 24th August 1997, UT-1 was rebranded with the new logo and ident were changed.

On 7th Febuary 1998, UT-1 was renamed as Pershyi Natsionalnyi.

On 24th August 2005, Pershyi Natsionalnyi was rebranded with the new logo and ident were changed.

On 1st September 2008, Pershyi Natsionalnyi was rebranded with the new logo and ident were changed.

On 7th April 2015, Pershyi Natsionalnyi was renamed as UA: Pershiy.

On 11th December 2017, UA: Pershiy was switched to 16:9 image format.

On October 2018, UA: Pershiy was launched in high-definition version.

On 23rd May 2022, UA: Pershyi was renamed as Pershiy.
