Piwi+ is French children's television network owned by MultiThématiques. The channel broadcasts animated series for pre-schoolers.

When the channel was called Piwi+ it was broadcast every day from 6:30 to 10:30.

Today it broadcasts its programs every day from 6:00 to 10:40. However Piwi sometimes emits 24 hours a day. The channel is received by 4.3 million subscribers and is broadcast on channel 1 of Canalsat.

History[]

Piwi was launched on December 3, 2003 by TPS.

Following the merger of the TPS bouquet and the Canalsat bouquet, the channel was sold to the Groupe Canal+, as did its sister Télétoon.

Piwi is renamed Piwi+ on May 17, 2011 the change comes after the re-branding of the Groupe Canal+'s thematic channels, thus enhancing their editorial know-how, the recognized quality of the Canal+ flagship. On this occasion, the channel passes in 16:9.
