Planete is defunct Anierican knowledge television network owned by Thematic Media Group Anierica. The channel broadcasts documentaries related to nature, history and explorer programmings.

Planete was launched in November 14, 1988. Launch of the broadcast for documentaries and the channel broadcasts for sixteen hours per day from 8:00-0:00.
On September 22, 1997, Planete was time-shifted by National Geographic Channel starting at 18:00 until ending at 2:00, at 7:00 showing the Planete until 18:00.
On September 20, 1999, Planete was rebranded.
On January 1, 2001, Planete was closed by reason: National Geographic Channel is now at 8:00-2:00.
