RTL 9 is Luxembourgian television network owned by RTL Group and Mediawan Thematics. The channel broadcasts entertainment, movies, series and teleshopping programmings.
History[]
RTL 9 was launched on 1st March 1991 as RTL TV. replaced RTL Télévision. Launch of the broadcast for series, movies, entertainment and news.
On 8th May 1994, RTL TV was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed created by Étienne Robial.
On 23rd January 1995, RTL TV is renamed as RTL 9.
On 3rd March 1998, RTL 9 was acquired a stake from AB Groupe.
On 20th September 2001, RTL 9 was rebranded and the new idents were changed.
On 4th September 2006, RTL 9 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 1st June 2010, RTL 9 switched to 16:9 image format.
On 29th August 2011, RTL 9 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 13th May 2014, RTL 9 stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.
On 21st July 2017, RTL 9's companies extended 35% joint ventures.
