RTL Arena is Scretonian television network owned by RTL Skretonija. The channel broadcasts sports events, entertainment, movies and series programmings.
History[]
RTL Arena was launched on 17th July 1997 as SpoRTL (Its name is a portmanteau of "sport" and "RTL"). Launch of the broadcast for sports events (football, basketball and motorsports).
On 1st March 2001, SpoRTL was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 12th July 2004, SpoRTL was redesigned its website.
On 23rd September 2007, SpoRTL was rebranded with the new logo and idents were changed.
On 30th April 2012, SpoRTL is renamed RTL Extra also switched to 16:9 image format.
On 15th May 2015, RTL Extra is renamed RTL Xtra also dropping the "E" letter from its name.
On 30th April 2016, RTL Xtra was launched in high-definition version.
On 15th May 2020, RTL Xtra was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.
On 28th August 2023, RTL Xtra was renamed as RTL Arena.
