RTL Deutschland is German media company owned by RTL Group. The company have thirteen television channels, twenty radio stations and three websites.
History[]
RTL Deutschland was founded on 8th November 2007 as Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland. Found of the company for television and radio.
On 1st November 2009, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland was extended its high-definition quality television.
On 9th November 2011, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland's online station The Wave was launched.
On 1st April 2012, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland's entertainment channel RTL Nitro was launched.
On 8th May 2014, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland's knowledge channel Geo Television was launched.
On 4th June 2016, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland's channels RTLplus and Toggo Plus were launched.
On 21st March 2018, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland's online channel Now! was launched.
On 1st December 2019, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland's entertainment channel VoxUp was launched.
On 15th June 2020, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland's digital station Toggo Radio was launched.
On 15th September 2021, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland was renamed as RTL Deutschland.
On 1st January 2022, RTL Deutschland was folded its publishing division Gruner+Jahr.
On 27th June 2025, RTL Deutschland will be acquiring Sky Deutschland from Comcast's Sky plc.
On 18th December 2025, RTL Deutschland was extended its partnership with DTT Media Broadcast who carrying DVB-T2 channels until 31st December 2030.
