RTL Plug is Belgian entertainment television network owned by RTL Belgium. The channel broadcasts entertainment, series and lifestyle programmings.
History[]
Origin of the name: in English, "to plug" means "(se) brancher". Its mission: to appeal to 12-34 year olds to compete with TF1, MTV, MCM, .... By highlighting its new look, young animators and a catalog of programs to attract teenagers.
The will is obviously to recover all these teenagers and young adults who love reality TV and which are diffused only in France. The program schedule was originally composed of reality TV, series, humor, music, with for example: Kad et O, Jackass, South Park, Friends, Dawsons' Creek, Largo Winch, Sex and the City, H, movies recently released at the movies, clips, "live", a hit-parade on Sunday afternoon. As of September 7, 2008, the channel changes its name for Plug RTL which allows to prove its alliance with RTL Belgium.
