RTR Planeta (Russian: РТР Планета) is Russian television network owned by Vserossiyskaya Gosudarstvennaya Televizionnaya i Radioveshchatelnaya Kompaniya. The channel broadcasts VGTRK's television programmings for Russians living outside Russia.
History[]
RTR Planeta was launched on 1st July 2002. Launch of the broadcast for entertainment, movies, series and cartoons.
On 1st September 2002, RTR Planeta was rebranded and the new logo was changed the word "Planeta" was added.
On 1st July 2008, the Belarussian version of RTR Planeta was renamed as RTR Belarus.
On 1st January 2010, RTR Planeta was rebranded and the new logo was changed as part of Vserossiyskaya Gosudarstvennaya Televizionnaya i Radioveshchatelnaya Kompaniya's rebranding effort.
On 31st May 2010, RTR Planeta was changed the new logo and RTR Rossiya was launched for CIS countries.
On 1st January 2013, RTR Planeta was rebranded and the new logo was changed featuring the logo but it's glossy.
On 16th January 2017, RTR Planeta switched to 16:9 image format.
