Rai 1

Rai 1 is Italian television network owned by Rai. The channel broadcasts news, entertainment, movies, series, lifestyle, current affairs and sports programmings.

History[]

Rai 1 was launched on 3rd January 1954 as Programma Nazionale. Launch of the broadcast for entertainment and reportages.

On 4th November 1961, Programma Nazionale was introduces the second channel called Secondo Programma.

On 8th March 1973, Programma Nazionale was broadcasted in full color programmings.

On 1st February 1977, Programma Nazionale is renamed as Rete 1.

On 3rd October 1983, Rete 1 is renamed as Raiuno as part of Rai's rebranding effort.

On 26th September 1988, Raiuno was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed.

On 24th April 1993, Raiuno was rebranded and the new idents were changed.

On 15th October 2000, Raiuno was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed as part of Rai's rebranding effort.

On 21st September 2003, Raiuno was rebranded and the new idents were changed.

On 1st November 2009, Raiuno switched to 16:9 image format.

On 18th May 2010, Raiuno is renamed as Rai 1 as part of Rai's rebranding effort.

On 25th October 2013, Rai 1 stopped its 4:3 image format then became a full 16:9 image format and was launched in high-definition version.

On 12th September 2016, Rai 1 was rebranded and the new logo and idents were changed created by Eloisa.
